I am so proud of Brad Schneider's dedication to support the Affordable Care Act in Congress

I was, and remain today, so proud of Brad Schneider's dedication to support the Affordable Care Act during his term in Congress.  As Casework DIrector in his office, I saw firsthand the impact that Obamacare had on constituents and how it provided access to healthcare coverage, many for the first time and especially for those with pre-existing conditions.  When the rollout of the exchange started, fraught with complications, our office was inundated with calls from constituents who were clamoring to get on the exchange.  Brad was aware of each constituent's problem and the impact the rough start had on them, and made sure our office had the resources necessary to work with all these people to make sure they were able to enroll. For some people, it took months to work out their problems.

In Congress, Brad voted to protect the ACA and strengthen it- over the many efforts of Republican attacks and attempts to weaken it.  Brad did nothing to limit access to coverage, which is why he is supported by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and more than 100 local, state and federal officials.
