“This summer, I wanted to be involved in politics and learn more about how government functions firsthand. I got to learn about my district, which really excited me because I could also make an impact in the community I grew up in.

I learned how important it is to be involved in my community, especially through local government and civic organizations. This internship reminded me that Democracy is fueled by our willingness to make our voices heard, and work for a better, more just world.”
