DEERFIELD, IL – Brad Schneider, candidate for Congress in Illinois's 10th Congressional District, announced today that he has been selected in the first round of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee's (DCCC) highly-competitive Red-to-Blue program. Brad earned this designation by surpassing aggressive fundraising, organization and infrastructure goals, and demonstrating the ability and commitment to fight on behalf of hardworking families, keep them safe, and make sure the economy is working for everyone.

"Brad Schneider is a proven leader on progressive issues that matter to Illinois voters: fighting for common sense gun violence reform, standing up for a woman's right to choose, and protecting seniors' health care," said DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján. "As a former Member of Congress, Brad has the track record, relationships and resources to proudly take back Illinois' 10th District in 2016."

“Every day I talk to voters throughout Illinois’s 10th Congressional District who are ready for a proven progressive leader who can fight for them in Washington,” said Brad Schneider. “With every grassroots contribution and volunteer shift completed, our campaign is building the organization we need to take back the 10th District for Democrats. I’m proud that our campaign has earned a spot in the selective Red-to-Blue program, and we will build on this momentum to carry us to victory in November.”

The first round of DCCC’s Red to Blue program highlights key Democratic campaigns across the country, and offers them critical strategic support. Being selected in the first wave, especially before the March 15th primary election, is a reflection of the strength of Brad's campaign and the confidence he will win in November.
