Figure is more than double what Schneider’s primary opponent raised

NORTHBROOK, IL – Today, Democrat for Congress Brad Schneider (IL-10) announced raising more than $390,000 in the fourth quarter of 2015, once again more than doubling what his primary opponent raised1. With 11,128 donors so far, an average donation under $50 and a median donation under $10, the depth and breadth of Schneider’s grassroots support is evident.

“I’m blown away by the outpouring of support for my candidacy and am proud to be running a true grassroots campaign,” said Schneider.

On Monday, Schneider also launched his second ad of the primary campaign with a broadcast television buy. The ad details the unprecedented level of spending by Washington Republicans in 2014 to attack Schneider’s record in Congress. Schneider received 100 percent ratings from both NARAL and Planned Parenthood and an A from the Sierra Club, while proudly touting his F rating from the NRA for his stance on universal background checks and limits on assault weapons.

“Brad Schneider is well-positioned to win back this seat: he leads incumbent Republican Congressman Bob Dold in the polls, has earned key endorsements from local leaders and has the resources necessary to be successful,” said Magen Ryan, Schneider’s Campaign Manager. “Our latest ad highlights that Brad’s principled, proven, progressive leadership is what Congress needs now more than ever.”
