SCHNEIDER CELEBRATES DEMOCRATS TAKING BACK CONTROL OF THE HOUSE

HIGHLAND PARK, IL - Today, Congressman Brad Schneider (IL-10) delivered remarks to a crowd of supporters in Highland Park as Democrats were projected to take control of the House. Rep. Schneider won re-election and will continue representing Illinois’ 10th Congressional District, set to begin his seventh term in January 2027.

HIGHLIGHTS:

“We are seeing that when Democrats focus on things that people care about, on the things that make lives better and clear the obstacles that make life harder, we can win elections, and we can lead to a better future.”

“[Trump] promised to make their lives better. He’s delivered only hardship and corruption. Tonight, that changes.”

“In every corner of the District, we talked to voters and we heard the same thing – ‘we’re ready for change,’ and that’s what we’re delivering tonight. I saw a guy in Gurnee, and I promised I would give him credit, so this is a joint effort but he said… ‘we’re fed up.’ I said I know people are fed up, but here’s what makes the difference — we’re not going to give up. It’s okay to be fed up. We cannot give up.”

“Tonight, we can say we have turned a corner. Tonight, we can say we have restored what we know our government can be. Tonight, we can say we have started a new beginning with a future that is bright for our children and the country.”
